Waffle recipe for dragons ^..^

Ingredients

The amount of ingredients is measured for 8 servings. If you want to cook this dish for another number of people, simply scale up or down the numbers linearly.
  • 250g butter
  • 150g sugar
  • 2 pkg. bourbon vanilla
  • 1 imp.spoon of salt
  • 6 eggs - only the yolk.
  • 500g flour
  • 1/2 imp. spoon of baking powder
  • 500 ml milk
  • 250 ml carbonated mineral water

Preparing the dough

WaffelFinished.jpg Add the soft butter, sugar, vanilla and salt to a medium sized bowl and firmly stir until the sugar is solved in the liquid. Then mix the flour with the baking powder and alternately add milk and sieved flour to the previously stirred dough in the bowl. Finally add the carbonated water to the finished dough and give it a rest of about 20 minutes.

Baking the waffles

Heat the waffle iron on medium temperature and use natural virgin oil if you do not have teflon coated irons. Fill the waffle dough on the lower half, wait a moment and then close the lid. Bake until the waffles have a golden - yellow hue and give a tasty aroma.

I suggest adding a sour taste to the sweet waffles by cooking a little topping syrup. Take the weight of two breybourne apples, cut one in small qubes and the other mash into a small pan. Add sugar, vanilla, the mashed apples and one shot of rum and heat the content until it all liquifies. Add the apple cubes on top of the waffles and refine it all with the syrup for a well rounded taste.
